Dear Parents and Guardians:
Welcome to another exciting month at Oakdale! We’ve had a fantastic start to the
school year. We worked collectively on setting and reviewing expectations. We have
established our house system which will be the foundation of our PBIS (Positive
Behavior System). This month we will continue celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month
Parent Teacher Conferences:
- To prepare for your child's parent
teacher conference
check your child’s progress so far
- Review teacher feedback if any
- Write down specific questions
- Share your child’s strength and
challenges at home.
- Take notes
- Ask for help/resources

News you and Use:
The donation bin at the entrance of the school grounds was removed please do not leave any donations in the Parent Parking Lot.
School starts at 9:05 am, if if your child comes later than that, they are considered late and you must sign them in.
As the temperature changes, please dress you child appropriately. It is best to dress them in layers so they can take off their jacket or sweater if they get warm.
Tips to Help your child:
- Read daily
- Visit the Library and get access to their
resources
- Practice multiplication table
- Maintain a consistent schedule
- Incorporate technology use wisely
- Designate a study space
- Complete homework and check for
understanding

October 15, 2024 is the deadline for all health information required by the state of Illinois.
Complete immunization record according to grade level, physical, eye and dental exam needs to be turned in, in order to be in compliance. Students will not be able to attend school on October 16, 2024 until ALL required health information is received.
If a student misses 3 or more consecutive school days due to an illness, the student needs to provide a doctor’s note upon the first day of return.
Please send a change of clothes with your student especially (preschool -2nd grade).
