On November 1, our student candidates participated in a formal debate in the gym, where they answered questions and delivered speeches to share their vision with the Oakdale community. Our candidates included:

• Treasurer: Keivert Mendez, Bethany Garcia-Gallegos, and Alexander Anguiano
• Secretary: David Hinojosa, Jordan Finley, and Lisa Cadette-Phillips
• President: Jesus Mora and J'Marie Massey

After the debate, students received their voter registration cards in preparation for Election Day on November 4. Our computer lab was transformed into a mock polling station, giving students an authentic voting experience.

A special thank you to Ms. Moreno for her dedication to organizing this event. Her efforts, from preparing ballots and registration cards to setting up each station, ensured a memorable hands-on learning experience for all.
