Hello Families, Can you believe it’s already time to head back to school? We hope everyone had a fantastic summer break! We can’t wait to see our students’ smiling faces on Monday. To help ensure a smooth first day, please remember to write your child’s name on their backpack and all other belongings. We also kindly ask for your patience with bus pick-up and dismissal as we get back into the routine. This year, our theme is "Keep the Magic Alive!" We’re excited to make this school year unforgettable!

Our field day is coming up! Please be sure to send extra clothes and shoes. If your child has crocs they could wear those instead of extra shoes

Join us this Saturday for our End-of-Year Carnival—a fun-filled celebration for the whole family as we wrap up an amazing school year! Saturday, May 17th. Oakdale School. 11-2PM.

The Amazing Shake Globals was an unforgettable experience filled with energy, professionalism, and growth. Our students had the incredible opportunity to travel to Atlanta, Georgia, to compete with students from across the country in a series of interactive and real-world challenges that tested their communication skills, poise, and confidence.

Please join us for a Holiday Sing-Along and Art Show featuring the students singing Holiday Classics in the gym & artwork on display in the main school entryway on Wednesday, Dec. 18th starting at 5:30 PM.

On November 1, our student candidates participated in a formal debate in the gym, where they answered questions and delivered speeches to share their vision with the Oakdale community.

Thanksgiving is truly my favorite holiday—it’s all about being grateful. That spirit of gratitude perfectly reflects my experience at Oakdale. Every day, I’m moved and inspired by what I see here. I’m touched by the incredible dedication of our staff and their unique ability to teach and inspire our children, and I’m continually grateful for the amazing support from our parents and community.

This week, the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) published the latest Illinois School Report Card, highlighting the progress of Oakdale Elementary and other schools across the state toward various educational goals. Welcome to another exciting month at Oakdale! We’ve had a fantastic start to the school year. We worked collectively on setting and reviewing expectations. We have established our house system which will be the foundation of our PBIS (Positive Behavior System). This month we will continue celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month
